Gabby Logan named for all-star Speaker Series Winter Programme

Published: 23/12/2021

Broadcaster and podcast host Gabby Logan will share her unique perspective on creating more supportive workplaces for women in their midlife as part of programme including Professor Hal Hershfield and Dr David R Hamilton.

Gabby Logan has been named as part of an all-star line-up for the Winter Programme of our monthly Speaker Series webinar for financial advisers.

Kicking off in the new year, Professor Hal Hershfield will start the season by exploring the behavioural science behind the choices we make as human beings.

Taking place at 3pm on Wednesday 26 January, the UCLA scholar will delve into the cognitive biases that prevent people from tacking action today to support their long-term physical, mental and financial wellbeing, and how this might inform your conversations with clients.

The session on Wednesday 23 February (10am) will focus on how employers can create more supportive workplaces for women in their midlife, drawing upon the unique perspective of Gabby Logan MBE.

The sports broadcaster and Mid-Point podcast host is more than aware of the challenges that females face during their halfway stage in life. Especially given the government’s recent warning that nearly one million women are retiring early due to menopause symptoms1.

To close our Winter Programme on Thursday 24 March (10am), we’ve invited neuroscientist and author Dr David R Hamilton to lift the lid on the science behind the healing power of the mind.

After completing his PHD, he started out in the pharmaceutical industry developing drugs for cardiovascular disease and cancer. Inspired by the placebo effect, he left to write books to help educate people about connections between our mind and body.
