How we're continuing to evolve the healthcare landscape.

The future of health insurance - now.

Over recent years, there has been rapid innovation and huge adaptation in the face of extreme challenges as an industry. Vitality have been on the forefront of evolving our health insurance in line with the changing face of healthcare, revolutionising the way your clients access care.

Given the fast-moving market, in 2022 we shared further updates on our vision of the future of health insurance, and with new enhancements to meet the rapidly evolving needs and expectations of your clients.

Our most recent enhancements:

Enhanced primary care offering: Up to six sessions of physiotherapy for all clients as part of Core Cover, through our Priority Physiotherapy network. This means that all clients have access to comprehensive primary care benefits including Vitality GP, Talking Therapies, and physiotherapy.

Increased our mental health coverage even further:
  1. Becoming the first insurer to disregard medical underwriting for in-network Talking Therapies
  2. Not longer excluding any medical conditions for in-network Talking Therapies. This enhancement expands counselling and CBT access to all clients regardless of their condition history or underwriting decision1
  3. For clients who have Mental Health Cover included on their plan, we removed our annual limit on in-patient and day-patient treatment and replaced this with cover for multiple acute episodes of up to 28 days each for both in-patient and day-patient treatment2
End-to-end cancer treatment and support: Introduced a range of support services and pathways for clients who are going through a cancer claim as well as our Cancer Treatment Support Programme. Plus, we increased our monthly Cancer Benefit Booster contributions to a maximum of £1,500 for Vitality Pink members3.

The next evolution of Care Hub: Enabled all members to request care online and allowing more members to self-declare their medical history.

We’ve updated our pre-sales materials to include all of the latest enhancements mentioned above. Visit our literature library to download the latest material. We’re also working to update our terms and condition documents.
